Coaching

Every season we are being provided with an updated copy of 'Laws of the Game'.  Through coaching sessions at every monthly meeting, our association strives to establish consistency in refereeing.

Using the Laptop and Data Projector provided by the SFA we have 6 coaches who take it in turn to lead discussions on aspects of refereeing.   This is done by use of DVD clips and coaching guidelines provided by the SFA and occasional discussion groups or quizzes.

All referees are invited to raise Points of Play for discussion - perhaps an incident in a recent match in which you were officiating.

Anyone who wishes to progress through the classes of refereeing can be guided by one of the minor grades advisors.  Theses advisors will observe games in which you are officiating and will give advice and encouragement on your progress.  From referee's who want to or currently officiate at boy's level up to junior level all can be guided to become a better referee.
